Miracle Treat Day 2009
Sioux City, IA— 2009 Miracle Treat Day is coming August 13th.
Employees from the Siouxland Dairy Queen stores raised over $14,000 in 2008 for St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, which is the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) affiliated hospital in Sioux City, IA. This amount was part of a total contribution of more than $5 million donated by the entire Dairy Queen system to more than 170 CMN affiliated hospitals throughout North America.
“We were able to reach our 2008 CMN fund-raising goal because of the employees’ hard work and enthusiasm, not to mention our customer’s generosity,” says Nicole Joy, Siouxland DQ representative. “We encourage all of our customers to visit
our DQ locations on August 13th, order a Blizzard Treat or two and help children’s healthcare,” says Joy.
Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness for more than 170 children’s hospitals throughout North America. Each year, these non-profit hospitals treat 17 million children afflicted with diseases, injuries and birth defects of every kind.
The Dairy Queen system has been a national sponsor of CMN since 1984, raising more than $77 million during that time.
